Hello everyone!

Time for an annual update. Life is good and continues to keep us moving, and I’m happy to report that things are going really well!

Work, Life, and the Netherlands

First things first, I’m still happily working away as Technology Director at ISA. It has been a busy start to the new 2026–2027 school year! Between onboarding new staff, streamlining internal workflows, and navigating the nuances of our learning management system, there’s never a dull moment. As always, it is a pleasure to be part of such a dynamic team and to keep building a human-centered digital strategy for our school community.

Kerri and I have found a local boardgame group and we will be attending the Essen Spiel this year again. Over the summer, we got to spend time at our cottage and connect with family, which was a wonderful way to recharge before diving into the busy autumn ahead.

TRC Connections

My work with the Technology Readiness Council (TRC) continues to be a real source of energy and inspiration. We’ve been diving deep into our Theory of Change project and defining our mission, vision, and core values. It’s so rewarding to collaborate with colleagues across international schools on human-centered leadership, data ethics, and meaningful system change. These connections are so important, and I cherish the camaraderie and shared passion we have for our work.

So, there you have it—a little snapshot of my life in 2026. In a nutshell, life is good! I’m grateful for my work, my family, my friends, and the ongoing opportunities to learn and grow. I’m happy, healthy, and excited for what the rest of the year holds.

Hello everyone! It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve properly checked in, so I wanted to share a little update on what’s been happening in my world as we move through 2025. Life, as they say, is what you make it, and I’m happy to report I’m making the most of it!

Work, Life, and Loving Living in the Netherlands

First things first, I’m still happily working away at ISA. Things are going really well, and I’m feeling challenged and fulfilled in my role of Technology Director. It’s always a pleasure to be part of such a dynamic and innovative team.

And speaking of happy places, Kerri, Riley and I are still very much settled in Leiden. I continue to adore this city – its charm, its history, and its vibrant atmosphere. Every day feels like a little adventure, exploring new corners and rediscovering old favourites.

A Milestone and a Conference

March is shaping up to be a particularly exciting month! Not only will I be celebrating a milestone birthday – yes, the big 5-5! – at the end of March, but I’ll also be heading to Frankfurt for the Data in Schools conference. I’m really looking forward to connecting with other professionals in the field, learning about the latest advancements, and sharing insights. It’s a fantastic opportunity for growth and inspiration, and I’m eager to soak it all in. If you’re going to be there, please do reach out!
